Overview
What is Jelly Bay and what makes it different?
Jelly Bay is a crypto-first marketplace for electronics, hardware, and collectibles. Seller fees are a flat 3%. Payments run through an escrow-style flow: funds are held until the order shows Delivered and a short dispute window passes. Listings must include real photos of the actual item.
Buying
How do I buy something?
Add the item to your cart, choose a supported cryptocurrency at checkout, pay from your wallet, and the seller is notified to ship.
Can I pay with a credit or debit card?
Not right now. Jelly Bay is crypto-only.
Which cryptocurrencies are supported?
A short list of major assets. The currently available coins are shown at checkout.
Can I cancel an order?
If the seller hasn’t shipped yet, you can request a cancellation from the order/messages thread.
Shipping
How does shipping work?
Sellers include U.S. (contiguous 48) shipping in the listed price. Live rate selection isn’t available yet.
Do you ship internationally?
For locations outside the contiguous U.S., contact the seller before purchase to arrange a custom option.
When will my item ship?
Sellers must ship within 3 business days and upload a valid tracking number.
Returns & Disputes
Do you allow returns?
Items are generally final sale unless they arrive not as described, DOA/defective, or damaged. Open a dispute within 48 hours of delivery and include photos/video.
What evidence should I include in a dispute?
Clear photos/video of the item, packaging, and label, plus a concise description and any relevant message screenshots.
Selling
Who can sell and how do I apply?
We vet sellers. The application asks for an online sales profile (e.g., eBay link), recent monthly volume, and references.
What are the fees?
A flat 3% marketplace fee on successful sales. Network withdrawal fees can apply depending on asset.
When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed weekly on Thursdays (ET) once tracking shows Delivered and the 48-hour dispute window passes without issues. New accounts may have extended holds.
What should my listing include?
Real photos of the actual item (stock photos cannot be the only images), clear condition, model/SKU/specs, included accessories, and any issues.
Are there restricted or prohibited items?
Yes—no illegal items, counterfeit goods, pharmaceuticals/drugs, dangerous materials, or items violating device-tampering, privacy, or export laws.
Compliance (U.S.)
Do I need to verify my identity (KYC)?
Yes. After reaching certain annual sales thresholds you’ll be required to complete KYC and submit a W-9.
Will I receive a 1099-K?
If you exceed the platform’s reporting threshold within a calendar year, you’ll receive Form 1099-K for sales on Jelly Bay.
Accounts & Safety
Can I share my account?
No. Account sharing is not allowed.
How do you keep the marketplace safe?
Escrow-style payments and a dispute window, seller vetting/performance checks, and required real-item photos.
